Thad Keefer, a 49-year-old resident of Stockton, NY, tragically passed away on July 2, 2025, following a motorcycle accident in the town of Kiantone.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, multiple agencies responded to a call at approximately 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Route 60 and Route 62. Thad was riding his motorcycle west on Route 62 when, in an attempt to pass other vehicles, he lost control and veered into a ditch on the east side of the road.
The impact caused Thad to become airborne, and he was quickly transported to UPMC Chautauqua, where he was pronounced dead shortly after. The community has been left in shock, with many offering condolences for Thad’s passing.
A local friend, Sarah Johnson, expressed her sorrow on social media, stating, "Thad was such a vibrant, kind-hearted person. This loss is felt deeply by everyone who knew him."
