Cody William Klasse, aged 18, of Emerald, Wisconsin, tragically passed away on July 4, 2025. Cody, born on February 13, 2007, in River Falls, Wisconsin, was a vibrant young soul with a heart full of kindness.
A graduate of Glenwood City Schools’ Class of 2025, Cody was known for his love of the simple things in life, like enjoying time by the campfire, fishing, and gaming with his friends and family. His playful nature, especially his way of "tormenting" his sisters, was just a reflection of how much he loved them. Cody shared a strong bond with his older brother Dylan and had a lifelong friendship with Gage Cone, who had been his best friend since childhood.
Cody’s adventurous spirit and generous heart made a lasting impact on everyone he met. He was an organ donor, having made the decision when he received his driver’s license, and his legacy of kindness continues to inspire all who knew him.
Cody is survived by his parents Shari and Ryan Larson, and Aaron Klasse, his brother Dylan Olson, and four sisters: Haley Klasse, Whitney (Corey Eggert) Klasse, Taylor Larson, and Shelby Larson. He is also remembered by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. Cody was preceded in death by his grandfather Jeffery Segelstrom and great-grandparents.
A memorial service in Cody’s honor will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Emmaus Church, Spring Valley, WI. Visitation will take place from noon until 2:30 p.m. at the church before the service.
The community continues to remember Cody’s warm, caring, and lighthearted spirit, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
